| This topic was made for an easy look-back on the rules that influence role playing. Although it is mostly content cited from the site rules, a couple things have been added. In other words, please read this topic thoroughly. Please follow the "Content" rules mentioned in the Site Rules. God-Moding./ Power-Gaming. God-Moding and/ or Power-Gaming is not aloud, what so ever. We the Administrators do not want to see a character being controlled in any way shape or form by anyone other than the creator of that character; this is, including N.P.C.'s. If you need more information on either God-Moding or Power-Gaming, you are recommended to take a glance at our "Rules" section or search for it online. [Mango strongly recommends you Google that shit!]In Character And Out Of Character. Otherwise known as I.C. and O.O.C., there is a major difference between the two, just as there is a major difference between their acronyms. Do not confuse someone's character's personality for how they may or may not act in the chat box or any other condition that would be considered out of character, such as putting brackets or parenthesis around a set of words in a role play session. Also, just because someone says something in character in a post does not mean they support what their character is saying, they could and should be following the set up and personality of their character. Travel Between The Islands. Characters will travel between the islands using what is called a Gate. To travel from one island to another stand somewhere near the gate and say the name of the island that you wish to travel to. It's suggested that you find someone who knows the islands' names when your character first arrives, for traveling would become much easier and safer. However, the only characters who will know the names of every island will be those classified as Shinigami and those who have included somewhere in their history that they have been in this world for a while. If your character is a 'permanent' resident of the Castle In The Sky it's suggested that you travel in order to learn of others. Basically, it's like the gate in .Hack Sign only you don't need a three word code, just the name of the island. Here's how the gate in .hack sign works. Please read it to figure out how things look when using the gate. These gates appear as a golden circular disc hovering in the air, spinning in circles, with a blue screen, as if to show into other worlds. When activated, the gate is encompassed by spinning golden bands, rapidly circling around it. Golden bands rapidly circle around the players downward, and the players are then teleported to their specified destination, appearing with golden bands spinning in circles around the player downwards. There are also special gates located throughout The World.
